Sam Bradford?

#1

I realize some of these rumors get started as click bait and because it fits the narrative, but any GM who trades a 1st round pick for Sam Bradford might as well resign on the spot. He is injury/concussion prone and he just isn't a game changing QB. If Ray Farmer follows through on this unbelievable scenario, he may go down as the worst GM ever.
Only a chump boos the home team!

I don't get it either. But I think in the end, nobody will actually do it.

I laughed when I heard that Philly gave up a 2015 4th AND a 2016 2nd round pick for Bradford. Aside from the injury history, look at how much money he's owed this season; it's nuts. Not to mention the fact that he said he won't re-work a deal if he's traded again.

No way this happens.

I've said since the beginning that I don't think he'll sniff the Eagles opening day roster.

He's a spoke in the giant wheel that is Chip Kelly trying to trade for Mariota.  He's nothing but a piece of that puzzle.

Nobody is going to give up a 1st for Bradford.  That's just another one of those bogus draft day rumors.

If Kelly wants Mariota, bundle those picks and give the Jags a call.  And when I say bundle, I mean the entire 2015 draft, plus their 1st rounder next year.  Be bold, Chip!  Pull a Ditka and end your draft on day 1!

Imagine the Eagles trading Bradford planning to trade up to slot #2, and then the Bucs take Mariota. Smile

Most GMs looking for a QB would be happy to be 'stuck' with Winston, but not Kelly.

That would be quite interesting.

There's just far too much smoke about Kelly going after Mariota with everything he can for there not to be some truth.

First step would be Bradford to the Browns for pick 19.  I've seen that over and over and reportedly the Browns wanted to make that trade with the Rams but the Rams said no because they wanted a QB.

I know everyone is saying the number two spot is the spot to be in for a trade but I'm not so sure it isn't pick 3 that ends up being traded.

The problem is that they're just not high enough in the draft to be in a position to bundle picks to trade up, and if they thought that by getting Bradford, that would allow them to sweeten the pot so they can jump up 17 or 18 spots, I think they're overestimating the value of an oft-injured QB who has never been able to live up to expectations because of injuries.  I think the "genius" of Kelly is going to be fully exposed over the next day or two.

i just dont see how the tacks can pass on leonard williams, why would you want to face jj twice a year and williams twice a year, your QB would be dead. That does leave the jags with the trade opportunity.

He'll either be proven right, or he'll go down in a blaze of glory in the next 72 hours.

I'm really hoping they go Mariota just because that pick would benefit the entire division.

I never discount the idiocy known as the Browns front office.

Maybe he throws in Fletcher Cox and Sam Bradford for the Browns #12

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

If you factor in the huge contract he got with his guaranteed money and all the games he has missed in his career, Bradford has to be #1 highest paid rookie QB per game played since he entered the NFL.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

And he'll be competing with Tim Tebow for the starting job in Philly.

Realistically this rumor might carry some weight in merit. Getting more than a one year contract is the breaking point in this case.

Your words become your actions,
Your actions become your habits,
Your habits become your values,
Your values become your destiny.
