2015 NFL 36th overall pick the Jaguars select?

#1

Ok we continue to talk a lot about 1st rd pick but what about 2nd rd pick. Do u see a rb like Jay Ajayi or Tevin Coleman? Wr like Tyler Lockett or Phillip Dorsett. Linebacker like Erick Kendricks or Bendarick McKinney. DE like Eli Harold or Owa Odighizuwa from Ucla. I personally think it's gonna be either rb or Lb. I'd love to see Dawson fall to 36 but won't happen. So I'll take Kendricks instead. Tevin Coleman would make since to. I'm not taking trades into account. Thoughts?

My money is on running back unless there is a guy they really like that has slid farther than they expected.

Do u have a certain rb in mind?

If we go Offense in Rd 1 (Gurley or Cooper) then I would go with Eli Harold.

If we go defense in round 1 I would go with Tevin Coleman or DGB.

Either way there will be some great talent there at 36.

My best guess would be Jay Ajayi.

Fowler and Coleman. Both positions of need while Cooper imo is a reach and a luxury pick.

If we stay put, Im hoping for a similar coupling. Mine would be Beasley and Ajayi though

I would love to see Phillip Dorsett.  I don't know how a safety, most nickels, or LB could cover him coming out of the slot.

Yikes at the Harold love. Don't get any real reasons to like him at all. I would pray Owa or Preston Smith are available if pass rusher isn't the pick at 3.

If LEO is the pick then I am fine with an LB like Anthony, WR like Lockett or Dorsett...and even Ajayi, Abdullah, or Coleman would be ok.

Id be happy with those two players as well. Personally, I prefer Colemans home run type speed and I like his build better too, a little taller and more athletic like AP. Both have potential to become feature backs though.

I could see receiver too if Dorsett is there. Maybe even Devin Smith. I think then they would almost have to take a back in the 3rd. Maybe Abdullah is still there. Doubt Ajayi or Coleman are. David Cobb or Yeldon could be an option there.

Dave said he feels like a good RB can be found in round 4 or 5.

I feel like Dave likes to wait and see if a highly rated prospect falls to the 2nd... regardless of its a position of need or not.

Jeremy Langford from Michigan St and David Johnson come to mind as day 3 prospects. Jags had Johnson at the Senior Bowl.

I'm not a fan of Preston Smith. Owa has me worried about his past injuries, but I'd take him or Danielle Hunter. Hunter didn't have the sack numbers, but he did offer a lot of pressure.

This of course is if we don't select a pass rusher in the first round.

id love to get lockett but hoping for him in rd 3. mckinney i would definitely like there if he lasts, but im thinking its gonna be someone more like ajayi or maybe maxx williams if he drops.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

To me, a draft of

Cooper at 3 and Preston Smith at 36 would be perfect.

Would love Nate Orchard if we dont go pass rusher in the 1st, just love his production

As far as if we do go Pass rusher, RB is what I would rather go then WR, RB will be a locked in starter for the next 5 years getting 20 touches a game, where as slot WR will get what 5-8 touches in a good game 10 if he returns kicks. Getting a number 1 RB is way more important then slot WR

I wish I could give a good opinion on Hunter. I didn't love what I saw when I watched him, but I readily admit that the mush rush/read and react LSU pass rush philosophy definitely throws wrenches in an evaluation. Much like with Mingo a couple years back. Hunter obviously has a lot of athletic potential but he didn't show much skill right now to me, so I think he would be more of an upside developmental guy.
