Quote:It might be is the homer in me but this team can be 5-2 going into the bye. That would set up for some exciting late season games with playoffs on the line.

*September 13: Carolina, 1 p.m. (FOX)-W

*September 20: Miami, 4:05 p.m. (CBS)- W

*September 27: at New England, 1 p.m. (CBS)- L

*October 4: at Indianapolis, 1 p.m. (CBS)- L

*October 11: at Tampa Bay, 1 p.m. (CBS)- W

*October 18: Houston, 1 p.m. (CBS)- W

*October 25: Buffalo (London), 9:30 a.m. (TBA) W

Those first 2 games are huge knowing NE and Indy are next.

Well, one thing's for sure; this team is going to be tested. If we have another 10+ losing season, the apologists can't make anymore excuses. Already the games against Carolina, Miami, New England, and Indy are all must win games if we have any hopes of making it to the postseason. There's also a lot of pressure on Caldwell now to deliver a solid draft class this year if we want to compete.

I want to see all of our home games sold out for this year; and I don't want to see 40-50% of our "home" games represented by the opposing team. I want our fanbase to be loud and be hostile this year to the opposing teams. THIS IS OUR HOUSE!

Go Jags!!

If we're 2-5 I'd be surprised. Lofty expectations are like a plague this time of year. We have to be better but this is the Jaguars of this day and age. We know how the games in London go.

No pain, no gain.

For some reason, I'm not extremely scared of the Patriots... I just feel like our defensive line can get get Brady a little out of rhythm early in the game and hopefully the offense can control the ball and eat the clock.

I really cant predict the record this year since I have no idea how good we will be, we had so many young players last year, it depends on how they improve.

I say 4-3 at the bye is realistic, 3-4 is prob the worst that will be acceptable, anything worst then that and Gus and Dave seat is hot, unless we are play great but just getting bad breaks

Dave might actually consider going after Peterson after seeing this schedule.

Quote:It's unbelievable the amount of Panthers fans I see on Twitter already claiming that they are 1-0... here's what they had to say..

Panthers vs Jaguars week 1? That's a little early for a bye week isn't it?

The Panthers play the Jaguars Week 1...LOL that's a win

The @Panthers starting off with a (hopeful) dominant win at @Jaguars to get the season started. A nice tune-up game.

Jaguars week 1 @Panthers we 1-0 already

Nothing makes me smile more than the @Panthers opening with the mighty Jacksonville Jaguars.

Wow... The amount of disrespect and lack of knowledge of some of these people is ridiculous. It's going to be a good game and obviously I hope we win.
Lmao acting like they have an elite team or something.

Right?? This is a run first team and I think we are very good at defending the run game, especially at home. The Panthers were lucky to sneak into the playoffs last year. I'm SO ready for this game now.

Well I know the Jags have been down, but the Panthers fans really think their team is all that. Panters, Atl, Bucs, Jags can win all those games imo.

To beat the Pats you have to be able to score more than 30 points. That's going to be a feat in itself.

The Jaguars are undefeated under Bradley when we score at least 24 or more points in a game.

Better lucky than good. I mean, we were out of the race by week 6

So why are you referring to the past when talking about the Panthers? All I'm saying is, our team was one of the worst teams last year. We have no right to be thumping our chests as if we actually were the Seahawks or the Patriots. This team is very much a question mark, and I frankly don't get how people are penciling in 4, even 5 wins in that early stretch.

This is a tough schedule.

The challenge will be getting to 30+ though.

I'm not shocked one bit that fans of a different team are bashing the Jaguars, they know we've been really bad. I am however shocked a team that isn't that great themselves is so cocky and confident that they can win any game.

When did I thump my chest???? I'm just baffled at how easily they think they are going to win. Lighten up dude

Am I the only one who doesn't really care about the order we play these games?

Opening two at home is nice

Catching Tampa early in the season is nice as well, assuming they have jameis playing its much better to face him in the first part of the season than the late portion

When you are a relatively bad team like we are, and sacrifice a game to london, its hard to imagine a really favorable schedule

The only thing i would have liked to see different is an opponent not so used to the heat week 2. The Florida weather is an ally for this team early, and its no help against Miami.
