Cleveland Scenario

#1

Feel free to delete or bust my chops if this has been discussed.  If we trade our 1st for Cleveland's two 1st round picks (12 & 19) which two players would you pick?

Gregory and Erving?

Parker and Gurley/Gordon?

Huh

It would be a mistake to get out of the top 6. Huge mistake. Obsession with picks gone overboard.

After 10, you've missed out on the elite talent. Only so often you get that chance, hopefully this is the last time for years.

False.

You find football players where you find football players. Last year's rookie of the year was drafted 12th overall. JJ Watt? 11th overall. Aaron Rodgers? Darrell Revis? Randall Cobb? Etc etc.

LB Bud Dupree and OL Cam Ewing.

The top 10 can be just as much of a crapshoot, especially when trying to evaluate edge rushers.

The concensus is that there are roughly 12 elite talents in this draft, which you have to look at individually.

The ketchmanism applies in retrospect, as well as in general terms.

This year, I tend to buy the consensus. I also buy that there are a bunch of guys that have the same value 20-60.

This year, you run the risk of missing players with the highest probability of being an elite player once you fall below 10ish.

I would have to rank the players and see who is available at those picks.

So strictly speaking, obviously, my picks would be Leonard Williams and Kevin White, or something like that.   But obviously, they won't be available.

It depends on who is available.   But not Gregory.   I would take him off my board in round 1.
