He basically replaced Todman who was released.  If we bring in a rookie, Pierce and Storm likely battle for a spot imo.

Why in the heck, given that Pierce hasn't proven to be 'all that'... and the fact that he now has a dui to his credit with at least a two game suspension... and given this franchises outrageous bad luck with players who come here who already have a 'history'... why did we pick this guy up?! Is he just practice fodder? I don't see him as substantially better than either Denard or Toby... worse in fact since he's coming here already in trouble.


Are we such bottom feeding scavengers that we needed to pick this guy up? Maybe we should change our names from the Jacksonville Jaguars to the Jacksonville Catfish!

I'm sure some Ravens fans had similar feelings when they signed a rb that hadn't proved himself and a 3rd string back from The Jags, in Justin Forsett. It seems to be a good fit.

He may not even make the 90 man preseason roster.   Isn't there a veteran minicamp prior to the draft?   We might take a look at him there, and then cut him to help make room for our draft picks.   Claiming a guy like this off waivers at this time of year is nothing but taking a look, really.

Has everyone here forgotten about Pierce's 2.9ypc as the lead back in 2013 and 3.9ypc (good enough to get him benched) behind Baltimore's stellar offensive line last year? He's got a long way to go before he's even legitimate competition for Slowby. Not saying he's got no talent, but if he couldn't crack 4ypc last year behind Baltimore's OL, what's he realistically going to do behind ours?

I haven't forgot. He has been one of the worst RBs in the league the last two years. I get it, he is there for competition. I doubt he makes the roster.

Well, Rice is 28, has a combined 1800 touches in his career, averaged 3.1 yards per carry his last year.....and hasn't played in a  year.  So there's that.
