As talented Kentucky was this season,, I don't think they were near as "elite" as what the media and national perception made them out to be. Yes, they were undefeated. But, they had a few tight games.

And near the end, when they were facing some of the best teams in the country, they weren't that much better than the other "elite" teams.

Notre Dame had them beat,, Kentucky barely escaped that one just to get in the Final Four.

Then they faced an even better team in Wisconsin, and got taken down.

The Kentucky team I watched the last two games did not resemble the team I've been watching all season.  What happened is Notre Dame and Wisconsin capitalized on UK's one major weakness - no solid outside game.  Frank Kaminsky and Zach Auguste are big talented hosses to move from under the basket.  Without that critical extra dimension to draw defenders out, they were forced to play around and through opposing big men. If Kentucky would have had one good consistent outside shooter, the outcome would have been different.

Good to see a Jacksonville kid play a key role in the game.
