He is 6 months older and his best season was 3 years ago.

Hardly someone with more "upside".

Yeah, but Chan Gailey used him as a flex to slot, Percy Harvin-type role. I don't think that was in his best interest. Truthfully, he'd would have to compete with D-Rob, as they have the same skill set.

I say pass on all the RB's and keep cultivating what we have.

Not sold on Spiller at all..  Outside of 2012..  nothing spectacular and has never proven he has a nose for the end zone like DeMarco.

Only a chump boos the home team!

Spiller is a superior talent both are injury prone but Spiller I don't think can handle a full load. His big play ability though would be welcome to young and inexperienced offense. For a reasonable contract 6-8 mil/per I'd be happy with the signing.

CJ Spiller would be an interesting pickup. We know he can play, but can he stay healthy?

With the team opting not to re-sign Todman, he would be an interesting option to bring in as a split back with Robinson and take over KR duties.  He hasn't done it much since his rookie year, but he does have 2 touchdowns and has had success doing it.

The Saints are bringing in C.J. Spiller for a visit today ( Thursday ).   Can they truly afford him,  based on their salary cap situation and numerous problems on Defense?

No way! He was injuried 60% of he career and even when hes healthy, not a good age or as good an guys in this years draft...we need gurley, gordan, or coleman...gurley if all three are available

Spiller would be a square peg in the round hole that is this offense.

Draft a guy. I don't want Murray or Spiller.

Gurley, he's bigger and faster. Duke is lightning quick, but he isn't a homerun hitter.

ccording to Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen of ESPN (sharing is good), the Eagles are giving the league’s leading rusher a five-year deal worth $42 million, with $21 million guaranteed.

So glad we didn't go there for that guy....

smh... no thanks

Even with the Jaguars very favorable salary cap situation,   I think they made a good decision along the lines of what you expressed.   The guarantee part of the equation is substantial.
