DEA warns of stoned rabbits if Utah passes medical marijuana

DEA warns of stoned rabbits if Utah passes medical marijuana

Utah is considering a bill that would allow patients with certain debilitating conditions to be treated with edible forms of marijuana. If the bill passes, the state's wildlife may "cultivate a taste" for the plant, lose their fear of humans, and basically be high all the time. That's according to testimony presented to a Utah Senate panel (time stamp 58:00) last week by an agent of the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Meanwhile over here in pothead country where virtually everybody supports full legalization and taxation of marijuana the government has instead decided to crackdown on weed. Because apparently we need to be less progressive than Alaska. FREAKING ALASKA. Do you realize how embarrassing it is for a European to be less progressive than the state that voted for Sarah Palin? DO YOU?

Don't bother asking. Our drug policy is completely [BLEEP] it makes Donald Trump's hair look like a reasonable decision.

They're really reaching here man.... really reaching. I think it would be safer for some hikers and campers. Instead of Smokey the bear trying to grab your lunch and maul your face off. Smokey the bear will just get stoned, grab your lunch, and then just stare at you all hazey eyed and what not.

Won't someone think of the animals!  You know, except when it comes to whistleblowers who video farms that are going out of their way to mistreat animals.  I remember reading about a girl in New York who is facing threat of jail time for videoing a farm who forcefed their ducks through tubes and had many injured geese who were untreated.  I remember Iowa (i think it was Iowa) passing some law protecting farms from having videos released of them mistreating animals.

But nope.  Gotta protect the wabbits from getting high.  You know by keeping marijuana illegal rather than making people grow it indoors or in greenhouses or whatever.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

I doubt there's a lot of that going on in Utah...
