Agreed. Wonder if the Bradford talks broke down or were just a rumor.

I read on NFL.com that it's a 3yr deal for $14Mil with a chance to go to $20M based on incentives.

Wow, just wow. McCown is 35 yrs old and went 1-10 as a starter last year. That's Henne territory right there. In fact, it's even worse the Henne territory.

The Browns must really like QBs with JM for initials.

I guess they just couldn't see themselves taking another QB in the first round of the draft in back to back years.

Why else would they sign McCown? At least Hoyer already knew the system and he did go 10-6 over the last 2 seasons.

The Browns are gonna Brown I guess.

You can't blame Hoyer for wanting out of that mess.

4 first round picks in two drafts straight! Still can't find a QB.

15 million? While initially laughing, I looked up the salaries of starting QBs. It appears they are basically paying him bad starter money if I can put it like that. The best backups are getting between 3.5-4.8 million. So, it isn't too bad if you consider he will be starting.

Will the Browns have the 1st overall pick in 2016?

This right here is why I fear the loss of Bradley and Caldwell. They may not be getting the results as quickly as some would like, but it is clear they have a good image for the team not just short term, but long term. I've seen from the Browns what happens to a team when you don't give a staff time to rebuild a team and they are in a never ending cycle of hiring coaches, implementing new schemes, firing coaches and starting over.

The two issues that prevented the trade from happening could easily have been Sam Bradford's contract and the St. Louis Rams asking for more trade compensation in return than the Browns were willing to give them.
