If we traded down with Cleveland...

#1

Let's say we took a trade with Cleveland and took their picks at 12 and 19. Who would you pick? I see our options changing going from the top of the draft to the middle. The elite three defensive ends are gone at this point. I can see a Lb/DE here still but safety and OT isn't bad in this scenario.

First of all, would Tennessee pass on that same deal to draft Williams or another player?

Also, I don't see the draft as having 3 elite DEs.  The types of players the Jaguars need are better suited at pick 12 and 19 than at pick 3, considering Williams is gone.  They could probably go without a 1st round pick this draft and still get their guys.  If they stayed at #3 in the scenario Williams is gone, I think wide receiver would have to be an option.

Based on current needs: Something to the effect of: #12 - RT - Andrus Peat - Stanford and # 19 - DE/OLB - Vic Beasley - Clemson.

Someone like Danny Shelton would be an option there. Not having a shot at any of the top edge rushers would be a disappointment.

Obviously, a lot can change. But as of now I doubt Fowler, Gregory or Beasley would be there at 12.

Using Drafttex’s big board I take 2 of these……

9              Landon Collins   Alabama              6'0"        215         SS

14           Kevin White       West Virginia     6'3"        209         WRF

15           Vic Beasley         Clemson              6'3"        235         OLB34

24           Maxx Williams   Minnesota          6'4"        250         TE

I don't see Beasley being there at all.  With his awesome combine and Gregory's fall, he's a top 10 pick easy IMO.

Erick Flowers, La'el Collins, Trae Waynes, Dante Fowler or Mario Edwards at 12.

Maxx Williams, Bernardrick McKinney or any possible pick 12 guy who's fallen at 19.

*Edit, bumped Waynes up and took away the possibility of him playing FS based on his 40 time today.

Would Assume These are gone:

TB - Winston - QB

Tenn - Williams - DL

Clev - Mariota - QB (Assuming this is who they would be coming up for)

Oak - Cooper or White - WR

Wsh - Fowler - DL

NYJ - Gregory - DL

Chi - Shelton - DL

Atl - Ray or Beasley - DL

NYG - Scherff - OL

Stl - Clemmings - OL

Minn - Cooper or White - WR

At Pick 12, I would go with either Ray/Beasley depending on ATL pick or Trae Waynes - CB - Mich State

At Pick 19, Bud Dupree (not if Ray/Beasley is the 12 pick), OL - Flowers/Collins could also see them going Melvin Gordon here.

No more Oline guys in the top of the draft please.

I'd hope the Jags say no unless more is thrown in to the deal. I'd rather have Williams or Fowler at pick 3.

Define top of the draft, please.

Do you mean with our top 3 first round pick?

Do you mean with a top 5 or 10 pick?

Do you mean a first round pick altogether?

Do you include a second round pick?

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

With this scenario?

12th - Kevin White - WR - West Virginia or DeVante Parker - WR - Louisville

19th - Landon Collins - S - Alabama or Malcolm Brown - DT - Texas

1st round.

There is absolutely no reason to say yes because the truth is no team with two first round picks ever trades both of them at the same time to move up.  We would only get #12 and Cleveland's second or third round pick.
