Well, presumed to be a meteor, and what l believe it to have been. 

 

It was a pretty neat experience. Here's what I posted to the First Coast News FB page...

 

<span>I Saw one! My dog wanted to go out at 11:00 on the dot. I was outside waiting kind of looking at the ground. The ground suddenly lit up. I look up and going from left to right in the sky was this bluish, greenish flash with a trail of orangish/red. I</span><span><span>t was unreal. I thought it was a shooting star but meteor makes more sense. It was much, much closer then any shooting star I've seen now that I think of it. The amount of light put off was amazing. 

When I got back to bed I heard the booms. I did associate it with what I saw but when I looked out the window I saw nothing.</span></span>
