For anybody interested NBC has started showing nationally broadcast quality fights through their PBC (Premier Boxing Champions) series. It's basically Shobox or HBO Boxing but on NBC. Pretty good card this weekend.

I was going to mention this.  They had one a few weeks ago that was really well put together.  Good fights and the production quality was ppv like.

It's April 11th at 8:30 pm.

I disagreed with the draw decision. It was a good fight though.

Side note: how do you not make weight in a title bout?

I have no idea. Not caring and being unprofessional.

I thought the fight was close so either way it would have gone I wouldn't have much objection. I thought Quillin could have got Lee out in the mid rounds if he let his hands go more. Everything he landed rattled Lee but in the middle rounds he didn't throw as much. Might have been leery of Lee's right hook though.

MGM is going to charge people to see the weigh in of Mayweather/Pacquiao.  I don't think I've ever heard of that.  Can't really fault MGM for making as much as they can on this.  I'm sure Mayweather is more than happy to put more $$$$ in his pockets.

They are going to make hundreds of millions off this fight, $150 for closed circuit tv, and blocking all the other casinos from showing the fight.

They aren't making any friends off this.

It's my understanding that the money made from the weigh in will be donated to charity.

Bad timing for the fight.

NHL and NBA playoffs heating up.

NFL Draft Next weekend

MLB started

I really expected there to be more buzz but thus far, I've seen very little interest.

Really?!  I think it's pretty high from what I've seen and heard.  It's going to make tons of money.

I didn't really care for the fight, but then again I'm not really a boxing fan, what did you fans think?

This is Caldwell's fault. Our A grade draft resulted in a Mayweather win. Can't always get what you want. If we failed the draft then Pacquiao wins. Doubt there's a rematch. Time to bring the Lombardi to Jax

and thats what boxing is now... staying away from trading blows but still winning.... glad pac man's wife was ring side to cheer on her husband.... that was the epitome of what the sport is now, one guy who wants to trade blows matched with a guy who is going to dance around and avoid any exchanges. ... we witnessed the death of boxing tonight for 100 dollars a person.

Are you implying that Mayweather didn't land any punches? Stupid, if so.

That was a horrible fight but Floyd is smart.  He knows how boxing works these days and how to win without really doing much.  Dance around, land a couple punches, hold the opponent if he gets you on the ropes, make millions.

I'd rather watch Manny fight 100 times than watch Floyd once.  Most boring big time fighter I can remember.
