No link.  Jacksonville.com stated they plan to talk to Balls representatives at the combine along with Alualu and JT Thomas.  Someone I follow on a Jags facebook page mentioned it as likely-he is also a good source.  I didn't think much of it at first but it possibly makes sense.  Besides McCourty not much else on the FA market and a weak draft class.  Ball is 6-2 and experienced.  He could sign another cheap 2 year deal and allow us to focus on offense in FA.  Keep an eye on this!!

He was a terrible free safety and has been a good cornerback

Can't you change that? At least put a question mark or something on it.

Why? If McCourty ends up tagged as expected then Rahim Moore will be the 2nd best FA option.

Jags are probably not looking to sign Moore. Per Below

<p style="font-size:12px;color:rgb(51,51,51);font-family:verdana, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">@ESPNdirocco: It's not a great class of safeties. Probably the best after McCourty is Cleveland'sTashaun Gipson, but he's a restricted free agent. I don't expect the Jaguars to target Rahim Moore because he doesn't fit the system as a centerfield safety.

Maybe we could trade our first for Cleveland's two 1sts and Gipson

They get Mariota we get a really good FS and two mid round 1sts to grab a RT or LB?

Another year with Martin and Evans at FS might have some fans heads explode.

If we sign ball at FS, I think we draft a kid there and see who wins out. Ball becomes a short term depth singing if we draft the right player.

Thats completely flase!

All Rahim Moore does is play centerfield. 5 picks in regular season/postseason combined (Most if not all deep down the field). 10 picks his senior season.

He doesn't tackle well and is [BAD WORD REMOVED] to come up to make a hit.

That's why Denver had TJ Ward to come in the box.

Am I missing something?

Every game i have watched of Denver, Moore  played very deep.

Honestly, someone correct me if i am wrong.

I agree with you, Ive seen a good bit of Denver games and i dont agree with that write up at all. Then I saw the guy works for ESPN, So that should let you know something.

They better scout some FS because if we don't have a legit single FS in the box we will be the same defense like last year. High in sacks and secondary will be garbage. I hope they find the right FS.

FS will probably have to be fixed in the draft.
