I thought the same. Similar backgrounds and experiences. Both USC grads. Played together on the cowboys squad. Both coached linebackers and won rings as LB coaches. Similar in age.

Time will tell how Ken Norton Jr. will do as a Defensive Coordinator.   Working in Norton's favor is how well he did as a LB Coach,  including the developments of K.J. Wright and Bobby Wagner.   The fact that Wagner got an NFL MVP vote for the 2014 season speaks volumes about the job Norton did as a positional coach.
