Is "sneaked" the correct term here? I was thinking "snuck".

Yes, you're wrong.

 

Or at least partly wrong.  Sneaked is the preferred term of grammarians.  One day it might be snuck though.  And that day will be good.  Because saying "I sneaked into the kitchen for a snack" just sounds weird.  
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Oh good. I don't care for it when things get to an "off normal" state.
