That could be huge. I'm thinking they were going bring him up to cover Gronkowski. Hopefully his injury isn't really that serious and they are just playing it up to disrupt the Patriots a little.

The body's initial reaction is to seize up which is probably why he needed help getting up and moving around. Get him back to the trainer's room, get some ice/heat/and then movement on it and other than being sore he will probably be fine. I echo Achilles: i've needed help up and took a few minutes to compose myself and shake the stiffness out and then I was fine.
