Would you be open to the idea of the Jags drafting another QB in this years draft?

Just to have some insurance at the QB position in case Bortles doesn't pan out? I think that Caldwell will draft somebody but it will come between the 3rd-7th rounds.

I would be suprised if they didn't' draft a new qb this year seeing as fisch is gone and morris probably wont' make the cut this year.  Maybe they'll keep him on the practice squad, maybe not. but they'll def bring someone else in. If I had to put a round on it, i'd say it'd be 5-7 somewhere or UDFA

Blake Bortles will be much better next season with an offensive coordinator who developed a rookie quarterback last year. We don't need to worry about him not panning out. Quarterback development takes time.

This is a weak quarterback class. Stephen Morris is on the practice squad. Chad Henne has one more year on his contract. There is no reason to draft a quarterback when we have bigger holes to fill.

There are no QBs worth drafting outside of the top two, so it doesn't matter.

The QB class for this upcoming draft is absolutely terrible. After Winston and Mariota it's a steep drop off. We might be better looking to the FA group, even thought that's not much better.

Not 3rd round though.

Maybe take a flier on a guy in the sixth or seventh round and let him sit and learn this year, replace Henne next? That's the only way I could see it happening.

Maybe Bryce Petty or Garret Grayson in round 5 or later

I HATE to say yes, but yes. QB has been proven that in today's game it is an absolute must.

If there is a QB worthy of development in the 5th-7th round, then go for it.

Grayson will be long gone before round 5.

Mannion will be a career back up that would be worth considering in the sixth round.

I dont really see anyone worth while and believe we should try and use our picks for what is needed. If we do draft one hopefully it works out and is a late rounder.

IMO, you don't draft QBs that you project as career backups. There are plenty of veteran backups on the street at any given time. Only a QB with the potential to start for your team or become tradebait for someone else is worth drafting.

This team has been so wrong about the QB position for so many years, I'm not sure It would make sense to be mad if they did draft one. Even if they took Mariota or Winston at 3, at least I could find comfort in the fact that they understand how important the QB position is.

Now if only I could make them focus on the O and D lines for a few years, we could be set.
