Question about Gabbert
|
I know Gabbert had a rough going in Jacksonville, but there's some thought among the Bills fans that he might be a QB we look at this coming season. The reason for this is our new OC Greg Roman worked with Gabbert in San Fran and apparently thinks highly of him.
So what was Gabbert's deal in Jacksonville? No weapons on offense? Stunted development because he had to learn a couple different offensive systems? Injuries? Or he just sucked? Just curious what the general consensus is about him. Thanks! We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Take EJ Manuel, cut off his throwing arm and you have a more productive gabbert.
He's terrible no matter where he goes

Gabbert was absolutely awful. I mean, horrendously so. I have never seen a worse QB. He overthrew and underthrew receivers constantly. He curled into a ball when defenders came near him. He had ZERO pocket awareness. He would run from the pocket if he saw an opposing team's jersey slightly.
His time here was horrible; we all were hoping he could be developed, and he showed signs of being any good in perhaps 2 games over his career. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Sort of what I thought. I was just wondering if there were some extenuating circumstances. I guess I should be worried the Bills are thinking of bringing Gabbert in to compete with Manuel.

Secondly,I suggest signings up for obummercare and get ready for the aneurysm they call Blame Gabbert. Thirdly, you're going to need a bat signal to get Todd Bauman off the tractor.

Gabbert sucks. He shows absolutely no potential. I'm not sure I'd want him as a third string quarterback. I wouldn't be surprised if he's out of the league in a year or two.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Quote:Firstly, you'll need to lay off the hallucinogens.I kid you not. There's a lot of speculation on the Bills' message board that Gabbert might be brought in. I'd rather go with Hoyer or Sanchez, but the Bills' front office makes me scratch my head sometimes. Quote:I kid you not. Needless to say a lot of us still have hard feelings towards that pick. I remember the joy I had when we drafted him...

Quote:Needless to say a lot of us still have hard feelings towards that pick. I remember the joy I had when we drafted him...Understandable. We've been through it a few times ourselves. I thought he was a reach back then when you guys took him.

Yes there were extenuating circumstances, but even without them, he would have been terrible. E.J. Manuel would win a battle for the starting job if the Bills somehow get Blaine Gabbert.
Quote:Needless to say a lot of us still have hard feelings towards that pick. I remember the joy I had when we drafted him... It seemed like a brillliant trade at the time. Everybody said he would be a top five pick and was surprised he dropped to #10. The year before, most of our picks were defensive linemen, so there seemed to be no reason to stay at #16 and pick Ryan Kerrigan (who ironically was selected at that number). It was a perfect example of why people say, "Hindsight is 20/20."
