Veteran FA Combine coming this spring

#1

The NFL is trying to help some of the players who "slipped through the cracks" or are trying to make an NFL comeback. Free media day for TO and Tebow?

Are they also going to institute a salary cap for veterans in this category who wind up making a roster?  Because in many instances, the guys who are going to be out there for this were bounced out of the league because their minimum veteran salary was deemed to be too much to carry.

Pretty much. And if a guy like Tebow participates?  ESPN will go wall-to-wall with coverage for at least a month.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Good question. I'm thinking it's aimed at players from the CFL the AFL and SFA's. Just a way to get them all in one place so all the teams have a chance to evaluate them.

I wonder if this will force a change to offseason Practice Squad rules. If it really is for guys buried on Depth Charts, then why not the Practice Squad guys?

Also, will it be a little more "football" centered than the College Combine? If a guy is at the Four Year point, then it stands to reason that the teams can ask them to do more NFL-type stuff. Ooooh! Maybe even some pickup football games!

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

A much more interesting week for people who love the scouting combine for college players.

Players coming from other football leagues probably have to do the drills. I assume health exams and drug tests are included. But for the practice squad guys, I am sure it would be a little different.
