Hi Jaguars fans! Today the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers meet at Lambeau Field for a divisional round playoff game at 1:00 p.m. ET. This game is being called an Ice Bowl rematch because that game, played on New Year's Eve 1967 and won by the Packers 21-17, was the last time the Cowboys played at Green Bay in the playoffs. The last meeting was on December 15, 2013 (won by the Packers 37-36 without Aaron Rodgers). The last meeting at Lambeau Field was on November 7, 2010 and won by the Packers 45-7. Will the Cowboys finally be able to beat the Packers this time? Watch the game on FOX to find out.

 

Several former Jaguars will participate in this game. The Packers have running back/kick returner DuJuan Harris and defensive coordinator Dom Capers. Active for the Cowboys are defensive end Jeremy Mincey, defensive tackle George Selvie, and special teams coach Joe DeCamillis. Justin Durant is on injured reserve.

Aaron Rodgers had a whole week off, did not practice Wednesday, and was limited on Thursday, so his leg should be better and can't be worse. But it is still going to be a big story in the game.

 

I am more worried about how good DeMarco Murray and Dez Bryant are than how bad Green Bay's defense is.

In-laws and close friends have been Cowboy fans forever.

 

One of my close friends and I had a long drunk conversation last year about who it's worse to be a fan of--The Cowboys or the Jaguars.

 

His arguement is that they are always just mediocre enough to rip your heart out right before failing to make it to the playoffs.

I told him he's crazy and that he at least get's to be excited about games in december.  Where we Jaguar fans rarely get to even enjoy a win.

 

At any rate, I'm happy for him and my in-laws.  So I'm pulling for them!

 

Maybe one day we'll get there too.

Why are you rooting for Dallas?

 

The main thing for me since the Lions season ended is for Seattle to get to the Super Bowl in a convincing manner.   Last night was step one,  despite Carolina playing better than I expected.    If the Seahawks don't win the NFC Championship game in a convincing manner,  it will make it more difficult to get partial closure in the next year.
