Jags prepared to make an offer to Suh?

Ndamukong Suh | DET

(January 6, 2015 1:32 PM EST)

Sources tell Yahoo Sports as many as 10 teams are prepared to make "titanic pitches" to impending free agent Ndamukong Suh.

Per reporter Charles Robinson, that includes the Jaguars, Browns and Raiders, who are tentatively projected to have the most cap space this offseason. The Jets and Falcons could also be in the mix. Robinson reports the Lions are leaving the franchise tag on the table as an option even though it would cost an otherworldly $26.7 million. The Lions would have to undertake all sorts of cap wizardry to make that number work. Detroit knows it would be foolish to let Suh get away, but the financial particulars of the situation make it a real possibility.

Wow.... Wasn't expecting that.

Hey, we're one step closer to a championship with him than without him.

Yes, we have the most caproom as well as holes across the entire roster. Any FA is a possibility for Jax. Bad article

Wouldn't Suh and Marks play essentially the same position, or is the team looking at Suh as a 5-tech?

Raiders or Falcons would make the most sense IMO.

In todays NFL is there one man worth the kind of money he will fetch? He is good but not very smart. I would not pay what he is going to get if I was Caldwell.

Judging from that very short article having interest and having a lot of cap space are the same thing.

He'd probably be moved around the line quite a bit much like Leonard Williams would if he came here.

That being said, I'm not sure he does come here.

Being that we never seem to land big time free agents ever, I'd say it's not happening.

Yeah that's the same thing I got from it.

The article does not link the Jags to Suh.  It only states that we are one of the teams that have the most cap space.

That's some pretty crappy journalism right there.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I'd be estatic if this happened, the Jaguars have never had a defensive player of Suh's caliber, he would instantly make us one of the best defenses in the league, it will be a bidding war though.

Do we get good journalism anymore?

Birth of the Franchise - November 30, 1993
Death of the Franchise - November 29, 2011

Fans deserve better. Thanks for all the good times too many are in the past.
