The timing of it makes me wonder if he just did not want to play for the new coaches here. It is not like Florida had two quarterbacks who are good enough for the starting job.

Was gonna ask, As someone who does not follow the gators I had the perception of him being a very poor QB. Did the gators lose anything?

Yes, when the new UF Coach shakes your hand and tells you Good Luck in your future endeavors (prior to you announcing that you are leaving) .... it's usually not a good sign.

I have no allegiance to any college team, but I do watch a lot of local college ball. So I think my assessments are generally pretty unbiased.


But every time I saw Driskell play, I could never figure out why he was so highly ranked coming out of High School.


He just bad.

He was a meyer QB. He was the #1 read option guy. He hasn't played in that system exclusively in college.
