The rumor has been floating around for a while now. Surprised it took this long.

Yet another washed-up Jaguar in the Bay Area.

would be a great hire for them especially after all the HCs theyve had the past decade.  He would take Kahlil Mack into another level.

Good luck with that Oakland

Oakland, where players and coaches go to fade away into oblivion.

Will the Silver and Black ever be good again?

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

Based on Del Rio's history, they are more likely to be in position to make the playoffs and completely fall part in December.

Not so fast. They are in a tough division and have an idiot for a general manager. More talent is needed for better coaches to succeed there.

Good for him.

If he wants the job and gets it, yes. But the fact that he got an interview does not mean much until the Raiders finish interviewing all of their candidates.

From CBS sports:

Quote:Former Jacksonville Jaguars coach and current Broncos defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio remains a "top candidate" for the head coaching vacancy in Oakland, according to CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora reports. He will interview with the Raiders on Sunday and could also meet with the Bears in the near future.

Jack del rio was a decent head coach, but the inconsistency of his teams were frustrating.

That might be a good spot for him as they do have a few parts in place but oakland aways finds ways to make things worse.

His record was almost even, which would be a big improvement if he gets the Raiders job.

One way they make things worse is hiring the wrong coach. I would not be surprised if they hire a guy who had less success as a head coach than JDR.
