Marks and Anger receive all-pro votes
|
Marks and Anger didn't get 1st or 2nd team, but they did get some votes. The media sees us. Forget about the beauty contest aka probowl. I want more all pros.
Note. Marks got 4 votes at DT. Would maybe had made 2nd team if it wasn't for Watt getting 2nd at a second position. Anger got 1 vote. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Flying under the radar is better until we get this team in order... Then... we shock the world !!

I'm surprised Anger did. He wasn't bad at all, but I didn't think he was All-Pro.

Honestly going to be disappointing when the Texans squander Watt's prime on being middle of the AFC pack. Our cellar dwelling has shown me without the QB, you get more time at the top of the draft.

Poor anger is the beneficiary of our failed offense. Good for him for having a pretty decent year though. Marks is just Marks. He rose from the ashes and resurrected his career here in Jax.

Quote:5th in the league in avg punt distance. considering how much he punted that's impressive. I'd be curious how much more Anger punted compared to other punters.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

I did not know the number of punts has anything to do with being an All-Pro. Being the busiest punter does not make one the best if he can't put balls inside the 5 with good hang time.
Me. Still. 3rd Round Punter. Waste of a pick who could have been had in later rounds.

Oakland punted more than us. And really Anger only punted a few times more than the 30th team Clevaland. 109, 94, 93 punts. He was 12th in net due to his touch backs which he lead the league for this year. Inside the 20 he was tied for 17th. Really nothing stellar for a 3rd round pick.

Quote:5th in the league in avg punt distance.Yea because of how many times he could just kick as far as possible. Like the poster above said, his stats weren't even close to all pro or above average. I saw a lot of games where he kicked it right in the endzone with zero touch. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:Yea because of how many times he could just kick as far as possible. How many times did he put someone inside the 20? Or inside the 10?Ehhh. He should have downed more inside the 20 but his numbers there were still middle of the pack. It's a statistic skewed by "lucky bounces." Plenty of his kicks landed shy of the goal-line and bounced the wrong way. I hate his draft position as much as the next guy, but he's one of the few players on the team that's above average at his job. Complaining about Anger seems incredibly ridiculous to me when there are legitimate concerns all over the roster. Gene screwed up - but it's done and now we have a good punter. Whether you want to acknowledge it or not.

We had no fourth round pick, so somebody else could have picked him if we didn't. He probably would have been a fourth round pick if we did not trade up for Justin Blackmon.
