Hear me out....

#1

Hey Jaguars fans,

Just like the topic suggests just give me a few minutes of your time and hear what I have to say....

First off,

I am a die-hard Jaguars fan since birth and a long-time lurker on these forums as well as a long-time fan (Dad told me to pick one team and stay with them) by the way im from Canada and never seen another Jaguars fan this way but.... I have a few things to say:

- I BELIEVE IN THIS REGIME

I had zero confidence in past regimes, I drank the kool-aid and pretended that everything was great in the offseason and than when I seen the on field team it all of a sudden didn't look like anything the reports, forums, articles or anyone for that matter made it seem like... it was like watching a team I cared so much for disappoint year after year and month after month.

I for one am buying into what Gus Bradley is doing here... he's simply making a change because Jedd didn't fit his culture of what he wanted to accomplish, he sensed that Jedd was going off course and decided to pull the trigger early rather than wait till next year and were expecting a borderline playoff team and god knows what happens? That's really anyone's guess and im not interested in ever knowing because I believe in what were doing, its irrelevant to me... I've been patient all along, I continue to give them my full support.

Guys, please relax and understand that this is for the long-term - sure maybe next year we go out and get 4 wins, hell maybe we win 8 and this conversation looks real good on my part and not only management but who cares? The fact is... the front office didn't like where they were going and they cut it off before it created a cancer in the dressing room or front office that makes it even harder to correct.

We still have another draft inside the top 3 to grab our beloved LEO PASS RUSHER at last or perhaps we surprise, whatever the case... Were still the Jaguars in Jacksonville, please continue to support!!!

IN DAVE WE TRUST!!

I find this statement ill advised. But I'm optimistic for him.

I remember many saying "In Gene we trust".... But to Caldwell's credit, he has yet to draft a punter in the third round....

You might not see another punter drafted in the 3rd rd or earlier for the rest of your natural life.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

I'm sorry you lost me at maybe we go out and get 4 wins. We put on another 4 win season and I'll personally lead the pitchfork march on Everbank. There is no way under any circumstance next year a 4 win season would be acceptable. That's not building for the future it's failing in the present.

... or traded away a 2nd round pick ... or used a top ten pick on a player expected to go late in the first round. Gene did both of those in his first two drafts.

Um, we got a 4th rounder and 5th rounder and dodged giving Monroe a huge contract. That's a fair trade when you have 2 starting LT's.

We got what we could for Monroe given the market value and the situation we were in.... no problem but that was a Gene trade

So typical, not saying you, but many fans on here were saying Fisch was going to stay, and he deserves another shot.  Now when he's fired, everyone was like, I knew it, it's the right thing to do...

First off, I don't know about Bradley. The jury is still out with a ways to go regarding him.

What I do know is, We got someone special in Dave Caldwell. He has done things that have made me go "wow" and no other GM much less does. How about getting that draft pick from a player he put on the release list before last year? A team wanted that injured DT bad enough to want to skip the waiver process and get him all because Dave released his list first before anybody else.

His commitment to drafting is rock solid. He had a plan and he is sacrificing everything to see it done. So much so, He mailed in his first two seasons. Funny enough, He mentioned we were a 17 points away from being a playoff team this season (relating to how few points we lossed a bunch of games). Thats Mind blowing for a 3-13 team. Next season may not be our first playoff berth but I bet we are in the mix come december and we have a fun season.

If we get trestman, Look out.

i said fisch was going to stay and i still maintain that position from the information I had available.

now it's coming out that he had philosophical differences from bradley and rumours he belittled bortles well then it's understandable he got fired but anyone saying they knew that is lying through their teeth.

At the end of the day I felt like we never saw what fisch could do and that if he hadn't had 6 rookies on offense and that he deserved a chance to show what he could do. I also felt like fisch was tied to bortles and giving bortles a second scheme to work with in such a short space of time especially when he already has struggled with his first was a bad idea

Wow.

Is this what we've come to?

Is this the benchmark for GMs and personnel guys in Jacksonville?

Shaking my head in dismay here.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

That trade enabled the Jags the flexibility to get Robinson, Linder, and Telvin Smith.

Skittles, indeed.

Yeah, looking back at it now, we definitely should have traded out of the 2nd pick that year.

It was really just a real bad year as far as the NFL draft goes, quite possibly the worst NFL draft ever, especially at the top.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
