OC Candidates

#1

Figured this warranted its own thread.

Marc Trestman bio...

<a class="bbc_url" href='http://www.coachmarctrestman.com/Coaching-Career.html' title="External link">http://www.coachmarc...ing-Career.html</a>

He has worked with a number of successful QBs, including Steve Young, Rich Gannon during his Super Bowl year, and Bernie Kosar.

Greg Roman info...

<a class="bbc_url" href='http://www.49ers.com/team/coaches/greg-roman/d5446825-2178-4237-ab3d-f3fca703dfd2' title="External link">http://www.49ers.com...3d-f3fca703dfd2</a>

I find his offensive line background interesting.

Marty Mornhinweg...

<a class="bbc_url" href='http://www.newyorkjets.com/team/coaches/marty-mornhinweg/e7c87d19-f1d0-46d1-a18a-628f3d6d8bbe' title="External link">http://www.newyorkje...8a-628f3d6d8bbe</a>

Your thoughts?

Any other candidates?

Peyton Manning. Not sure if he continues playing after the Pats reach the Super Bowl

Last time I saw him, he could hardly stand up.

I don't think Trestman's offense and Bortles would mesh well, unless Trestman would be willing to significantly alter his playbook.

I think Greg Roman would work. I think Dirk Koetter would work.

NO on Charlie Weis lol.

I'd want Trestman. Just because he turned Gsnnon into an MVP, lead the league in offense multiple times, and he's a good OC with NFL experience. Might be the best deal. But I wonder why he has been with teams long. Also, if he was hired today, would he be able to talk to Bortles till after the Super Bowl?

Could be a QB coach candidate. I actually remember when he played sadly.

Greg Roman was a coach at Stanford when Toby was the runner up for the Heisman there.  Interesting to see how many connections there are between a lot of these guys.

roman is a terrible, horrible pick

the niners lead the league in delay of game penalties I believe and their hurry up offense makes the jags offense this year look like all pros

have you guys seriously watched the niners?
