Manziel admitted he hasnt taken the QB serious enough....

Hmmmm.....can't be good for the Brownies if the overly hyped QB they traded up to the first round just admitted he hasn't taken his job seriously enough.

This pretty much confirms that he was a Haslett pick and not really a Ray Farmer pick.

they didn't trade up but I'm glad we didn't draft him now. How could you not take it seriously?

Not really. And I was a Manziel fan at one point in time.

So glad we didn't draft him.  Blake Bortles is the clear QB prospect this year.  I know he hasn't performed the BEST out of the rookies, but look at the team he's on.  I think that has a lot to do with it.  Oh and Fisch the first 14 games of the season...SMH

Bortles, Carr, and Bridgewater have all looked promising to getting degrees. Cleveland goofed up.

I just don't understand how anyone in that lockerroom can have any respect for him after this.  There are guys who are 2, 5 or even 10 years older than him busting their behind just so they can feed their family, but here's Johnny thinking to himself "my family have oil money so I just gonna 'live life to the fullest' and not worry so much about football".

What a terrible thing to admit.

Now that he's been exposed he's trying to buy more time with excuses. He doesn't want to fade into 'what could've been', but I don't think he has the resolve

I liked Johnny at A&M but was worried about his seriousness and work ethic. You can win with talent and improvisation in college, but you need to work hard if you want to succeed in the NFL. I'm usually not to hard on rookies, but am skeptical about his words. Is he really willing to study the film and practice instead of partying in the offseason. I don't believe it until I see it. He has a lot of work to do to be an average starting QB in this league.

I'm also interested to see what the Browns will do with Bryan Hoyer. He's not the most talented QB but is a good professional and Manziel could learn a lot from him. I think they should sign him to a 1 or 2 year contract and let them compete in training camp.

One thing clear in his time at A&M is that he was the spoiled kid whose parents never told him no. His transition to the NFL could not have gone much worse.

He'll say the things he's supposed to say, but I'm willing to bet he's partying days are not over, he's probably out at the club right now

Would you rather Tebow on Manziel on your team?

I'd take Tebow.

Meh they are both awful. I'll take JFF fanboys over Tebowites though, at least they seem fun at a party.

manziel picks up another fine for the same reason josh gordon got suspended

"Manziel had to be present for either the walk-through or, since he was on injured reserve, treatment for his injured hamstring. When he did not show for either, the team had to search for him. Because he was late, he was fined, a source said. Other Browns this season attended walk-throughs while on IR, including Miles Austin, who did not miss one after being declared out for the season with a lacerated kidney." - pulled from espn

Tebow in a second.  He worked hard.  Manziel is another JaMarcus Russell.
