It happens in hockey and the majority barely blink an eye.

Guys get their brains beat out in hockey...fans love it. Makes them tough! Some 18-21 year old college kids, some of which have never played in a bigger game, scrap it out and they're punk kids. Their emotions were running high, it happens.
