Looks like the starter going forward the rest of the yeat. Gave up no big plays, the PI call was a bad call where Smith tripped up. We just need to draft Holliman and our secondary will set. Cyp will give up the big play sometimes but I think we at least give him one more year.

You sure about Holliman?

Quote:Gerod Holliman Louisville- "He needs to go back to school," said one scout. "He's horrible. He can't make a tackle to save his life. He's got pretty good instincts but he's not that athletic."

But he said he is horrible so he has to be. You should of heard what they said about Tom Brady when he was coming out, they were right too

Maybe, but it's the truth.

Right about that one. The word of some lone scout should be taken with a grain of salt.

Doesn't mean its true. The scout could be secretly in love with Holliman for all I know. But it does make you take a closer look at the player.

I would love it if Holliman came out and fell to the 2nd. He is not that good of a tackler but I think coaching can fix that, he just tries to lay the wood and don't rap up a lot of times

Getting back to Colvin, I think he's going to be good.  Caldwell's biggest steal thus far.

Can't speak for the athleticism but the dude is a horrible tackler and stays away from contact.

Holliman is as messy as a bag of cats

I've watched a couple of his games and he is all over the shop. but he is pretty much a first year

he is like a puppy jumping round the ankles of the play desperately trying to get to the ball carrier with no finesse or technique

in the run game he often looks lost however in the pass game somehow he has a nose for the ball and that's a trait that is incredibly valuable in a free safety

he also covers pretty well in man to man coverage.

he should go back for a year if he wants to be a better player but with his instincts he could go easily in the early second round

if a team has the patience to develop him I think he could be a top free safety in the league but that will require at least 2 years to let him refine his technique.

He wouldn't be a good fit here then. You have exactly 2 games to turn in an all pro effort otherwise you'll be forever labeled a bust.
