Brian Schottenheimer or Pep Hamilton would be nice. But I don't know if Pep will go directly from the colts to the jaguars.

None of the above
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

There is a poll and asked who I'd like as head coach. From those choices I wanted none.

So I answered the question. Thanks.

Or maybe the three votes for someone totally unrelated to football is a better contribution.... Almost a better contribution than including her in the first place.

Exactly.  Bradley's job is safe this year regardless of what happens.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Pep Hamilton? Are you insane? He has handcuffed Andrew Luck from being a great QB. We should thank the man, not hire him.

Would love for the Jags to bring in an offensive guru and let Gus just focus on the defense.

Exactly. I hope he's their OC for years to come.

at this point she may be better than GB and company, at least she would probably let BB play and not handcuff him lol

So who is this "offensive guru"?

What makes you think Gus doesn't just focus on the defense now (if as head coach he "focuses" on either)?

Someone wrote that an "offensive genius" is only as good as his quarterback. Do you think Mike McCarty is head and shoulders above most head coaches in the NFL?

I think some teams will consider interviewing Lions Defensive Coordinator Teryl Austin ( who also has a University of Florida connection )  for a HC position because of the improvement the Lions Defense made in his first season.   Austin's background with the Ravens as a DB Coach helps him.    Austin deserves interview consideration on merit but he might get one or more because of the Rooney Rule.

The standard in the NFL seems to be that you replace a defensive HC with an offensive HC when you make a switch.

According to the Junior Head Coaches on this board we just need Jim Harbaugh and all our problems are solved.

But, more simply - just fire the OC! I keep reading it's really that simple.

Unfortunately,  it's rarely that simple.   Sometimes change is necessary.   But usually,  the problems are noticeably deeper than a specific coach.

My take on the Jaguars from the distance is the biggest obstacle for the team currently is a combination of the team depending heavily on relatively inexperienced players on Offense and a need to upgrade the talent in the back 7 on the Defense.   While I do believe there will be Assistant Coach changes on the Jaguars staff for 2015,  it won't be until next year to truly gauge whether the team should continue with Dave Caldwell and/ or Gus Bradley.
