Bortles has slowly morphed into Chad Henne

#1

I think it's a reflection of the coaching staff but Blake Borltes has morphed into Chad Henne.

Short throws on 3rd and long

Scared throws

Bad Thorws

Inaccurate throws

Bad Decisions.

If you changed their Jersey number around very few would realize.  Today's game was a big statement.

Eli and Peyton were Chad Henne last week too.

Bortles has been playing Chad Henne the last 5 or 6 games.  His main stats are in garbage time

Couldn't agree more, and it's all because of the coaches.  He was decisive and fearless the first 3 games he played.  He did not care, he just wanted to win.  Now the coaches are scared of INT's, and they making him look like Henne. Way to ruin this kid before he even gets started.  He has the talent.  The coaches are stripping him of it the longer they have control of him.

This is exactly the reason why we need to make changes soon.  I know I'm not crazy, I've seen the regression.  Everybody, even Manning and Brady, has a bad game every now and then, but those things are corrected.  That's not happening here.  These guys are not developing Bortles.  It seems that we are just puttering along and petering out.  The play calling should improve every week as the rookie gets better.  We are seeing the same stuff every week with no new wrinkles.  That's beginning to concern me somewhat.

He was fearless and effective (while still turnover prone) in the first few games because defensive coordinators didn't have any film on him.

They now know what he's doing and what he can't do.... they have adjusted, and we are pretty much unable to do so.

I just hope this coaching staff doesn't set BB5's development back more.  BB5 has lost all confidence and instead of being free to do what he does best, he's been limited to doing nothing.

Basically, he's been Henne-ized.

Gus hired the coaching staff.  Let's not forget that.

Sheesh.  So many stupid and pointless threads after a bitter loss. LOL.

You're just seeing an underperforming and young O-line failing to protect a rookie QB who's being spoon-fed by the coordinator.  We don't really know what Blake is - but he's not like Henne any any way. He makes some of the same mistakes, but he makes them differently. Dumb comparison.

LOL at the thread title. I was thinking the exact same thing during the game.

That's what happens when you have trash as a mentor teaching your prospect the game. He's literally mirroring the man and learning to play by him. What do you expect?

Impossible!

The bibbers were saying how much they hated Henne for the early defensive failures, and assured us how everything would be perfect once Henne was out of the picture. I can actually quote posts from some of the resident geniuses about this very thing.

You must be mistaken somehow.

What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

I just watched the Cowboys O-line give Romo 8 seconds with a clean pocket on back to back plays against a 4 man front.

Meanwhile, Bortles can't throw a slant without someone in his face.

That's why I'm wondering the BB hate. Gets the ball and gets pressure in his face before he sees the field. Secondly Fisch calls stupid plays.

Is there a way that anytime you post, you can put in your signature that I completely agree with it as well? So far everything you've written tonight has been exactly what I've been thinking
