McDaniels is wise to avoid the trainwreck in SF.

He definitely made the right move.

the clots, jets, bengals, panthers, saints, bears, and maybe redskins are all jobs that i could see be opening up next year.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Next years draft has some great QB prospects as well, so he may be able to get his guy next draft.

So.... McDaniels to either Indy or Houston next year.

Tennessee also comes to mind as an AFC South possibility, because GM Jon Robinson was with Josh McDaniels with the New England Patriots.

That really depends on what happens with the texans qb position.

Sure, you can make B. O. B. The scapegoat, but it isn't his fault osweiler is garbage.

Bill O'Brien can't be paid enough for taking the Texans to the playoffs with arguably the worst starting QB in the NFL:

Will Fuller certainly didn't help Brock Osweiler's cause when dropping a long pass in the end zone the other night in New England. Yet, the following tidbit sums up what the Texans invested in at the starting QB position.

Including playoffs, today was 4th time this season that #Texans QB Brock Osweiler failed to break 200 pass yards despite 40+ pass attempts

I still think Osweiler is trash regardless but that pass was the definition of a perfect pass.

40 pass attempts??? He can't scratch a 5 yard average per throw? Only reaffirms how much I was right about that guy.

The thing with waiting for jobs for the next year is kinda like planning for draft classes years in advance. Sure it can look good now but you never know what can happen in a year, so its kinda tough to wait sometimes especially when youre dealing with your own employment

The likely good news for the Jaguars and the other two AFC South teams competing with the Texans is Will Fuller probably will continue to drop many passes in future seasons.

The Texans seriously have to consider eating Brock Osweiler's contract in the classic case of going one step backward in order to eventually move at least 2 steps forward.

Because of the long time connection in New England with Lions GM Bob Quinn and Josh McDaniels, it's likely that McDaniels would get serious consideration to become Lions HC if there's an opening in 2018. Matt Patricia as well.

 Good point.

Josh McDaniels' concerns about the 49ers organization must be to the extent that he's willing to risk the unknown.
