Leonard Williams or Randy Gregory

If they're both on the board and we were going DE, who do you have?

I don't know much about either of them so I'm having our football community settle this

I haven't scouted Williams yet, but he's considered to be a fantastic DT prospect. I also really really like Gregory, from what I've seen. Of the two of them, Gregory is the obvious LEO, whereas Williams would either slide into the 5tech or could do Roy Miller's job next to Marks. However, I think we're a lot stronger at DT than we are at LEO, and so I would give the edge to Gregory.

Gregory -- we've been missing a playmaker (aka game changer) on this D for quite some time.

I'd take either one. But if I had to choose, I'd say go with the edge rusher.

same as everyone else. gotta take the LEO over the DT.

Both are top guys and would change our defense but I'd go Gregory. Williams would make the other guys around him better but Gregory would be the actual impact flash play guy. It's really hard to say one is over the other.

agreed, both are elite prospects, only slight edge to Gregory because importance of position, Williams is the better player though IMO

The Raiders may end up making the decision easier for us.

The HC for Nebreska seems to think Gregory may come back for his senior year.

Dave hasn't pulled off a good trade back yet. Hopefully this is the year he can pull one off. Trade back and get Holliman

Trade back and get Oakman from Baylor or Collins from Bama.

But to answer:  Gregory

Williams by far. Not that I don't like RG.

Gregory because he comes with speed and immediate impact. Leonard comes with versatilely but will need to put into the perfect scheme and situation to succeed. With Gregory you've got the edge speed, perfect for the LEO position. He would be my safest bet if we didn't trade down. With a trade down Shawn Oakman seems to be my favorite player since he is 6'9 and 290 pounds, thats potential.

Kinda of a hard choice since Gregory comes with speed but Oakman comes with size/versatile player/the potential he has is huge. Next JJ watt when u think of swatting the ball down at line of scrimmage.
