I just read on Twitter that Blake Bortles received 20k votes in the state of Florida to be the next governor.. I believe he was 5th in the standings..


Sort of irrelevant, but I thought it was kinda cool and funny at the same time.

Some people vote for charisma over ideas.  Actually a lot of people do.  If this is true, which I doubt that it is, I think it would have been funnier if he got a few hundred votes.  I think it's more concerning when the number gets to 20k. Though I fully understand a person has the right to vote however they wish, I still have a right to find some level of disappointment in their rationale.  I would guess this was mostly UCF students more than Jaguars fans doing it if it's even true which it probably isn't.

Looking at the image again, Bortles and the guy ahead of him have the exact same number of votes.  That's probably because whoever faked it just copied the line above it and just replaced the guy's name with Blake's.
