Domestic Violence Awareness Month

#1

In case you have not noticed, Steelers cornerback William Gay wore Vikings shoes the last two weeks. No, he did not formerly play for Minnesota and get pairs mixed up. Rather, he bought them to raise awareness about domestic violence because October is the month, purple is the color, and his mother was a victim.

After the last several months in the NFL is there anyone in America who ISN'T aware of domestic violence by now?

I actually thought that was the catalyst for the "No More" campaign because this is the first year I saw it on TV.

William Gay is pointing out it is more widespread than the high profile cases. He wants people to know guys like Ray Rice, Greg Hardy, and Adrian Peterson are not rare exceptions.

That's hard hitting journalism!

When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

Not all players can write it, though many take a swing at it.

The No More campaign? Even though it is November now, they have not stopped doing the TV spots yet.
