Bon Jagley, how come you don't like those 2 selections? Are you a Gurley-man? Laughing I think his 2 selections addressed glaring area of need for this team.

I have a really low grade on Beasley but I haven't gotten to Prewitt yet.

I like Prewitt.  I haven't really checked out Beasley yet.

Beasley is strictly a speed rusher. We have that in Branch already..while it would be nice to have two guys likr that, it's not good value in the first for Beasley

I'd rather have Gregory and Prewitt.

Beasley is a boom or bust pass rusher. And the OP makes a comp to Bruce Irvin. Is that a good thing for a potential top 10 pick?

Beasley is a better fit in a 3-4 than a 4-3.

I probably wouldn't take Prewitt until the 4th round.  There are other players who are better at other positions that will be available into the 3rd in my opinion.

Prewitt is very good value at the 2nd.  The only issue is that he plays the Cyprien position.

He has good range but is more like a Polamalu and a near the line//thumper then an elite range FS.

Based on talent he is a 2nd rounder but I agree that his position value for us knocks him down some but he will make some team very happy in the 2nd round.

No, no, no. Prewitt is not a near line guy. He plays the center field spot for Ole Miss. He is exactly what we need at the FS spot.

Vic Beasley in the first is bad.

I don't care who the other pick is, no thank you to Beasley.

Trae Elston is the FS for Ole Miss...

Prewitt is the middle range robber and  Downhill thumber like Chancellor is for Seattle.

Prewitt isn't the guy you want playing single deep centerfield...he doesn't have the range//speed for that role.

This is what Cody Prewitt does//Plays:

Notice in the final one #7 the rangy FS Elston is coming over the top and Prewitt is playing middle coverage.

Prewitt excels in the Middle zone and run support as you can see in the videos//his 75 int return where he was in robber coverage.  He is not an over the top single high FS.   Great Player but he isn't running with WRs deep or coming across to break up deep passes.

Those are great picks if we make the playoffs; not top 10 material.

nope

and if we wanted Bruce Irvin's clone, then we could just sign Bruce Irvin in FA

No, actually Prewitt is the FS and Elston is the SS (or as they call it, Rover).  Prewitt plays deep the majority of their plays.  I have no idea what you are watching if you think its the other way around.  There's no hope for you.
