Heard Branch and Poz went down. Any word if they're okay?

Linebacker Paul Posluszny suffered a pectoral sprain and will have an MRI on Monday. He left the locker room with his right arm in a sling.

Defensive end Andre Branch suffered a groin injury and also will have an MRI on Monday. He left the locker room on crutches.

Posluszny had 12 tackles, one sack, and a fumble recovery while Branch had four tackles against the Browns.

I think they will both miss time, possibly significant time.

Sucks because the defense was finally starting to gel.

Poz is an animal.  He just shrugged it off and played the next down.

That's the truth.

Pectoral strains can be excruciatingly painful.  Poz is one tough son of a gun.

If Branch is out a while, who takes his snaps? Ryan Davis? Davis has looked good in fairly limited snaps, but from the DT position.

Chris Smith getting promoted if Branch is out for awhile?

Very likely.

Dang, I thought Branch played a great game today.  I hope he doesn't miss any time.

I hope Branch is good to go, I think he has started to really click. Hoping if he does miss time that he doesn't lose a step or anything.

So Poz stayed on the field with a strained pectoral. Big deal. Obviously he should have been replaced by Arthur Brown via the draft 2 years ago, but Gus forced Dave to pick Cyprien. You message boarders aren't smart enough to see the truth though.

Sucks for Branch since it looks like he's finally starting to get it. Still not a premier defensive end, but he's stout enough against the run (especially today) and he also provides rush. The way he went down reminds me (unfortunately) of Fred's groin injury that got him the "Fragile Fred" nickname

Poz was a beast today. He really took one for the team. He reminds me of the football player of yesterday who would break his arm making a tackle, rub some dirt on it in the huddle, and make another tackle on the next play.

One of the commentators even mentioned Fred Taylor's groin injury. But there is a big difference here: Branch was on the injury report, so it did not just happen on that play.

Branch looked INCREDIBLY hobbled for a muscle strain. I bet he misses quite a bit of time.

Branch may have torn that thing. the way he was down there looking and the way the teammates were around him made it look bad

Andre Branch reinjured groin, and it looked very painful... probably out against the Dolphins and maybe for a few weeks.

Poz might play against Dolphins.
