Actually I was thinking why throw a deep pass to a backup running back instead of a wide receiver or Clay Harbor? Catching a pass is not the same as returning a kickoff.

Hindsight is 20/20. If we were not in a situation where we needed a timeout at the end, I would not complain about it.

 

It was a stupid challenge. 

 

1. Because he wasn't going to win it

2. Because it was 4th down.

 

Given that we were trailing and clearly were going to need timeouts, plus those two things I mentioned, the reward for challenging that play was not worth the risk.
