Thoughts on D from 1st Half
|
It honestly looks like we're playing a prevent style D.
We're off the WRs... We play a zone that leaves receivers open in order to not get burned on a deep route... It's really just not working for us. I'd prefer at this point to see them play up on the receivers and blitz a 5th rusher. The secondary isn't working right now. Why not try something new? Our D-Line is our strength. We should be taking advantage of that right now. Come at the QB with an extra man and don't let him have time to find the wide open receivers... We show less advertisements to registered users. I thought it was just poor execution. Some players looked like they were not trying hard enough. It was painful to watch guys miss tackles by not wrapping up the ball carriers.
