I for one like the new moves with TC & Marrone

Taskmaster Tom Coughlin with keep everyone uneasy and Doug Marrone will crack the whip. No more players coaches and if it fails next season, Caldwell gets the blame and Coughlin steps into the role full time.

Nothing but upside.

George likes it!

I kinda like it. I didn't like it until I heard about the Tom Coughlin hire. Tom can keep things in place and if things don't work out at least we know it will be a 1 year thing and not a 4 year thing like the ice cream experiment.

I, too, feel good about the pair. I know we blundered the last game but it's not difficult to see the mass difference among the team and the tone of play under Marrone. Very well could have been simply the emotions of the change, and maybe less to do with Marrone himself, but... I'm hopeful. Dude made a 9-7 team in Buffalo. And looks to be smart to have stepped away as he did. Who'd have thunk it?

Coughlin's role could be interesting, and will surely be behind the scenes almost exclusively, but they now have a sounding board and an old stalwart to help guide the organization.

I am simply keeping an open mind. They have to prove it on the field. That being said, I think the arrow is certainly pointed up.

What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

Like Dakota I'll keep an open mind. Keeping Wash does not excite me though.

Jeff Lageman was interviewed on NFL XM radio today. One of the hosts mentioned how Coughlin requires his players to be smart and will most likely quiz players coming off the field.

Lageman responded by saying that you can expect him to do that to the coaches as well and that Tom requires his coaches to be even sharper.

He also pointed out that there are around 30 (30!!!) coaches on this roster and that number will probably drop by half.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

I will like it if there is a shakeup on the staff, if not it's essentially a [BLEEP] joke and they brought back the entire clown show minus the head clown.

Top 5 defense?

That's pretty good..Maybe Marone and TC will make changes to the play calling and prevent crap...

That's my only issue with defense

This is where I'm at as well. Knowing that Coughlin is back in the fold, and already making decisions for the team gives me confidence that the era of just getting better is officially behind us. It's time to have some accountability, and it's time to win some football games.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

And what accountability was there? Only person fired was Gus. The same vanilla coaching staff is intact.

Nothing confusing. Just a inept owner who does not know what to do. How do you hire a firm to search for a head coach and then you just promote the interim because we played the last 2 weeks. You know damn well if we got blown out like usual the last 2 weeks, Marrone wouldnt stand a chance. Khan is in over his head.

No, blowing a 17 point lead is better.
