This team plays scared.

It's pretty embarrassing.

It's obvious when you watch linebackers refuse to fill gaps and just wait on the other side.  It's obvious when you watch defensive backs and linebackers concede 5 extra yards after completions because they sit back on their heels instead of attacking the ball/player.  It's obvious when you watch linebackers standing flat footed in zone coverage and covering nobody instead of making a misstep.

On offense, its obvious when you watch a game plan that gets progressively more conservative as close games go on.  It's obvious when you watch supposed playmakers go down at first contact.

This is worse than watching a team that lacks talent.

Yeah they suck and they know it, of course they're scared.

This team DOES lack talent...in a lot of places.  They look lost, particularly on defense, and they don't have enough talent.  That's a bad combination to have.

ABOUT US
The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
