Matt Prater

This is the only kicker in the league that I would feel comfortable with if the Jags dump Scobee.

Luckily we have Scobee. He's good.

Yeah, dump Scobee who's been money in the last 5 games for a Kicker who's violated the leagues substance abuse policy.. A kicker...

Why talk about dumping Scobee after he had a good day statistically?

I was shocked Denver cut Prater. He is one of the best kickers in the NFL.

Statistically speaking, any kicker can be a good kicker with Manning at the helm.. Lot's of short yardage FG's and xtra points..

Kicking in Mile High is much easier than Florida

Sign him Caldwell.  Jags would have a dymanic power one two punch kicker duo, 2 headed monster attack.  Chhhhaammmppiooonship. Dynasty.

Prater looks a little rusty today. Wonder how much of his success and confidence was due to PED use.

You are ignoring the fact that Prater also has scored on some very long attempts.

True, but Prater also has been very successful at sea level.

He is indeed good.

Hey guys, remember when Prater was a rookie with the Falcons and bombed against the Jags (and Arrow Man) leading not only to his release but also a Jags win?

All logic says the Lions should bring Prater in. Is this going to happen?

Will the kid from FSU be available? We can't wait for the 4th or 5th round...

hailtoyourvictor,  Bon Jagley, and HiggyJ15, in addition to Matt Prater,  the Lions are scheduled to workout Jay Feely and Connor Barth later today.    Thankfully,  Alex Henery was officially released.

While in terms of ability and track record as a kicker Matt Prater would seem like the best option,   so much depends on how the Lions brass evaluates Prater's character.    The question that can't escape me is the Broncos are positioned to win this season,   yet they decided Prater wasn't worth keeping.
