hailtoyourvictor,  Bon Jagley, and HiggyJ15, in addition to Matt Prater,  the Lions are scheduled to workout Jay Feely and Connor Barth later today.    Thankfully,  Alex Henery was officially released.  

 

While in terms of ability and track record as a kicker Matt Prater would seem like the best option,   so much depends on how the Lions brass evaluates Prater's character.    The question that can't escape me is the Broncos are positioned to win this season,   yet they decided Prater wasn't worth keeping.  

 

It probably has to do more with them having confidnece in McManus, who is on a 1st year minimum salary of $420,000. Prater was set to make significantly more than that.
