***Official Jaguars Vs. Steelers Game Day Thread***

(This post was last modified: 10-05-2014, 12:58 PM by AmeliaIsland.)

Hi, Jaguars fans !  Smile   Our Jaguars seek to win their first regular season game in ten months as they host the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Jaguars also won their last home game at EverBank Field, when they defeated the Houston Texans 27-20 back on December 5, 2013.  Jaguars and Raiders are the remaining winless NFL teams at 0-4.

Jaguars are also in a two-game regular season losing streak in the 23rd meeting with the Steelers. Jaguars though leads the all-time regular season series 12 games to 10, and also outscored the Steelers in the previous 22 games 414 points to 387.

Spero Dedes and Solomon Wilcotts are announcing the live TV commentary for the NFL On CBS, seen regionally, and locally on WJAX-TC CBS Channel 47, live on HD.

Both the Jaguars and the Steelers, and all NFL teams throughout October are wearing pink NFL apparel to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the NFL's 'A Crucial Catch' campaign.

Sunny and clear skies at 69 degrees is the local forecast for the 1:05PM Eastern Standard Time kickoff.

NO further injuries, and GO JAGUARS!!!!    B)   ^_^

Hi Jaguars fans! Today at 1:00 ET on CBS the Pittsburgh Steelers visit the Jacksonville Jaguars at EverBank Field. It will be Blake Bortles' first start at home. Right tackle Austin Pasztor is finally back in the lineup with a less restrictive device on his broken hand and will make his first start today.Ace Sanders is back from a four-game ban in September and will play on offense as well as return punts. On defense, cornerback Dimetrius McCray is starting in place of concussed Dwayne Gratz.

The Steelers are 17-2 against rookie starting quarterbacks with defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau, but will be missing first round draft pick Ryan Shazier and Ike Taylor. Series history is in favor of a shootout because many Jaguars/Steelers games were close. Bortles is the X factor in this game.

Let's hope for no more injuries and a much better game than we have been playing recently. GO JAGUARS! Are you ready for some Bortles?

I created my own thread when I saw this one had not been created yet, so it looks like they will be merged.

I would love to think we are going to win. But we have no one who can match up against Antonio Brown. Yeah they lost to the Bucs but Brown also left two touch downs on the field. Our only hope is that our pass rush shows up like it did in their debut and plays like that throughout the game. GO JAGS!
