Kenbrell Thompkins Waived

#1
(This post was last modified: 10-04-2014, 06:19 PM by You Dont Know Jax.)

Kenbrell Thompkins was just waived by the Patriots.  At 26 he's 6'1" and would be a huge upgrade over Mike Brown.

Am I wrong that we have the 1st waiver position at the moment - #2 at worse

Go Get Him Dave Caldwell !!!!!

Meh. We got enough wide receivers. Call me when someone cuts a tight end.

I'll throw my hat in the ring for secondary help.

Surprised by that one - but I haven't watched the Pats in a couple weeks to see what he may have done or not done to earn the ire of Belichick.

I thought he'd come near 1000 yds this season. Was the 4th WR on my fantasy team in week one but I upgraded.

I guess LaFell and Dobson made him expendable.

He "mouthed off" to the offensive coordinator.  Benched for 2 games .. then released

I hear we have enough WRs .. but Mike Brown has stone hands .. we could use an upgrade

BTW .. per NFL.com the Jags are last in the AFC conference.  That should give us the #1 waiver spot

I think you have your receivers mixed up. Aaron Dobson is the player that supposedly mouthed off, and he's still on the team.

Claim KT, cut MB. No more need for the roster fodder we've been running out there.

He'd be an upgrade to the lower end of the WR depth chart.

We do not have enough WRs, we have a bunch of unproven's and a couple of guys that can't stay on the field this year.  We need help at that position (bottom end of the roster) and he's a low risk pickup.  I'd be fine with Dave bringing him in.

I wouldn't mind. But I doubt they bring him in. He had to have done something crazy for the WR needy Pats to give up on him.

^This.

I watched the Pats receivers against KC. They are truly pathetic. If he's not good enough to play in NE, he's not as good as even Mike Brown.

The Patriots two most talented WR's were on the Game Day Inactive list in Kansas City.   With one of them cut hours ago.   Between the current WR situation and Offensive Line situation,   the Patriots seasonal outcome looks as bleak as it did in a very long time.   Certainly different than the outcome I envisioned before this season started.  This despite the fact that the Patriots have a very realistic chance of winning what looks like a weak division.

There's a lot going wrong there for sure. The prominent radio talk show there is ripping Belichick pretty good. Somehow they always seem to pull through adversity, though.

LaFell has not played well at all. A couple of games ago, Brady did not target him once after the guy misran several routes in previous games. Amendola appears clueless out there and is, like Welker, a concussion away from la-la land. Dobson is still in the doghouse, Hernandez is in jail, leaving Gronk and Edelman as the only receivers.

The OL is a shambles since Mankins was (inexplicably) traded and TB is 47 years old.

On defense, get this, teams are beginning to throw AT Revis. Seems like someone may have built a causeway over to Revis Island. The Boston Herald  ran a pic of Wilfork's INT to end the Raiders game with the caption of "WILFORK ISLAND". Good stuff.

I'm hoping to get back tonight after seeing the Jags beat the Steelers and settle down with some Diplomatico Anejo rum and watch the Patriots destroy Cincinnati...it's a tall order.

I think we are still giving NE the benefit of the doubt based on past accolades. They have been stubborn in putting the offensive weapons around Brady and to be honest, I think the screws on BB's rocker have finally started to come loose and he will be falling off of it soon.
