So if your son runs his car into another car killing himself and the other occupant you'd be happy if the taxpayer paid for a trial to charge your son with vehicular homicide?

Justice was already served in the original trial. Dunn wasn't getting out of prison ever. So, what purpose did the second trial serve beyond wasting taxpayer money to make a life sentence a longer life sentence? This was nothing but a face saving trial for the State's Attorney.

I'm curious. Is there such thing as a "rightful murder?"

Actually justice wasn't served in the first trial. Dunn was convicted of three counts on Attemped Murder and found innocent of Murder w/respect to an unarmed teenager regardless of the tongue lashing that he, Dunn received...

I do agree that the second trial was Politically Based though...

No, the tax payers didn't owe this in any fashion...

Yes, the Davis family was owed True Justice w/respect to their son's killer and the tax payers simply had to foot the bill...

The Davis' family deserves to have justice for their son.

But that's one of the dumbest statements I've e read here. Including TMD. Lol.

Dunn was going to live his life in jail before this trial. It was closure for the family, for which I'm glad.

However it was also redemption and vindication for Corey, which was a waste of tax payer money.

Seeing Corrine Brown getting her photo op was also a waste of tax payers money.

But in the end, it was what what the father said.. A conviction from a white jury, white men. We didnt have to embarrass ourselves like Ferguson.

And they didn't need the help of the New Black Panther Party yapping outside the courthouse.

This is laughable coming from a person like you who had a thread removed because of you making jokes about child abuse.

Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.

It's not like anybody was asking for slavery reparations, just justice for a wrongful murder.

Justice was not served for Jordan Davis' murder. The family had EVERY right to pursue a retrial. The purpose the second trial served was closure for a family who lost their son over a argument.

Justice wasn't served?  He was found guilty and sentenced to what amounted to a life in prison.  What changed?

The family didn't pursue a retrial.  The State's Attorney did because she was determined to get a 1st degree conviction to save face.  It had nothing to do with bringing closure to anything but fixing her damaged reputation.

Again... Justice wasn't served in the primary trial. Regardless of the initial conviction, Dunn was charged w/attempted murder. He was found "Not Guilty" of actual murder. The family of the three attempted murder sons was served justice while the family of the murdered son wasn't served justice...

The change is evident...

I hate Angela Corey with a passion, and find her to be repugnant.

That being said, any state attorney is not going to just let a murder go.

Doing so basically says that you'd agree the killing was justified.

Verdicts mean things, and verdicts define things.

Allowing him to not be retried means he is forever innocent of that crime.

Not "not guilty"

Innocent of that offense.
