Ive been saying we need this guy next year and could possibly trade back into the late first for him. Best safety on the board. He just doesn't have the Bama Hype surrounding him so he doesn't get as much attention

Like him as well, waiting to see how he looks against bama.

Collins and Prewitt both will get a good chance to show out for scouts. I want to see how Collins plays against a WR corp led by Treadwell. Both play single high saftey and against two good offenses we should be able to see how their range is

Prewitt is the real deal. He will get plenty of chances this weekend to shine.

Would be nice to get a trade back and wind up with a haul in the first two rounds of prewitt, grasu, and someone like Shane ray from Mizzou who I was just talking about in another thread.

I'm on board.  I think he might be the FS we need.

Rob Rang says this:

Quote:

He is an alert, active defender with good vision and the athleticism to handle deep coverage responsibilities. He changes directions fluidly and is a smooth accelerator. He possesses good (but not great) top-end speed and can get himself in trouble with aggressive pursuit lines that leave him little room for error. Prewitt generally is asked to play two-deep or the single high free safety role, rarely dropping down close to the line of scrimmage to cover slot receivers.

<p style="font-size:10px;font-family:Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;color:rgb(0,0,0);">From this center-field vantage point, Prewitt shows good understanding of route concepts, anticipating where the ball is going and getting a jump on it. He has good hands for the interception and times his leap to take the ball at its highest point. As a tackler, Prewitt lets his teammates do the dirty work and doesn't jump on a pile just to do so but breaks down well in the open field to make the secure wrap-up, whether as the last line of defense or as a gunner on the punt coverage unit. He takes advantage of vulnerable receivers catching passes across the middle by timing his collision well with forceful but clean hits. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com

Yeah he would be perfect for our defense. Him and Cyp would be an insane dou.
