Tom Brady

Benched in the 4th quarter.

Is he losing it or are they just starting slow?

Personally I think a lot of his success was the system and he's getting older, starting to lose some of his level of play.

Wasn't it a blowout? Why risk him getting hurt?

There's no doubt that Brady is getting older and the end is much closer now.

If the Pats keep putting mostly young players around him, I don't see him being successful playing until he's 40 like he says he wants to.

Even after what you saw from the Pats Monday night, they will still probably win the AFCE by default.

It's another weak division, esp at the QB position, with one QB just being benched, another one whose head coach wouldn't say he's the starter and the other one "F" bombing the fans as they call for Vick, while only in his 2nd yr.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

Brady had a bad game, but I think he still have a trick pt two up his sleeve. He is still one of the best. I think it was just a smart move to let Jimmy G get some playing time once the game was out of reach.

Brady was pissed after the 1st possession.  I think he's totally disgruntled over the personnel moves.

Brady is regressing.. He used to make ordinary receivers look good.

Didn't Brady miss a lot of time early in the preseason with some kind of injury?

Any chance it might be something lingering still?

He was a big reason for that - a lost fumble and two interceptions (including a pick six).

Bad quarterback play is always the first reason given for blowout losses.

They haven't drafted well and it shows.... plus they traded away their best lineman.  SMART MOVE

While I expect the Patriots Defense to play much better than they did in Kansas City,   I was shocked how mismatched the Patriots Offense was against the Chiefs Defense.    The players the Patriots had on the field on Offense in their present state looked like they would struggle against most NFL Defenses.    It remains to be seen if ' Gronk'  will regain most of his pre-injury skills.

To say the least,  the Patriots are fortunate they are in the AFC East.   They might win that division by default,   especially if the other 3 teams in that division don't get much more higher level consistent QB play than has been the norm.

So if the Patriots were in a different division they would not be a dynasty?

The Patriots haven't been an NFL dynasty since the first half of last decade.

If the Patriots were in most other divisions in recent years,   they probably still would have reached the playoffs much more often than not but would have had noticeably better competition.

Patriots will still make the playoffs, unless Kyle Orton is able to bring something to the Bills.

AFC East is a weak division.  Maybe even the weakest division.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Belichick has shown a few times now that he knows when to offload a guy for whatever picks he can get. If Brady were really done, Belichick would have sent him to Oakland, Cleveland or Houston for a high draft pick this offseason.

That said, I do wonder if Belichick was bitten hard by Mallett's failure to develop. It was hard not to see Mallett as the eventual successor to Brady a couple years ago.

I don't know, I think the AFCS is probably weaker.

However I agree with the overall sentiment, if the divisions weren't arranged so conveniently the Patriots wouldn't have had quite the success they have had over the last 10 years.

With one of the worse performing Offensive Line the team has had in recent memory, I believe they deserve at least 5 percent responsibility.

Trading Mankins away made it worse as well.

Brady's got to be frustrated with what's been going on over there roster wise.
