What i don't get

Quote:Gates is still capable of doing damage.

Against Arizona, he had 6 catches for 81 yards.

Against Seattle (who we want to be when we grow up), he had 7 catches for 96 yards.

Gates was completely shot down by Buffalo, held to one catch for 8 yards.

He had 3 for 30 against us yesterday.

I have to give Cyprien credit for a good game, even if it was against a 34 year old TE.

Ummm no.. If the 33rd pick from 2 years ago couldn't cover a 34 year old TE, there's something wrong.. But he did.. He did his job..

Quote:They play man-to-man and they also play plenty of cover-3 and cover 1.

This helps to see why not having a stud FS is hurting this scheme badly:

Amen to that. Winston Guy is way closer in style to Cyp than he is to Earl Thomas. He has no business playing FS. Evans just isn't good. FS has quietly become one of, if not the biggest need on defence.

W have the worst FS situation in football, and you absolutely need a stud back there to make this defense work.

Agreed in principle....but then is something wrong with the Seattle secondary?
