Why didn't we just keep Chris Smith if we needed a linebacker?

Good job getting rid of Prosinski, but I hope he is not brought back.

Did they actually release Prosinski? 1010xl said he was moved to IR.

George is 30lbs lighter and 4 inches shorter than Smith.

I nevfer heard of a linebacker being too tall LOL.

It is just disappointing to trade one of our best players only to cut one of the guys we used an extra pick on.

The website says he was waived/injured, so they are probably working on a settlement with him.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Man, not a fan of roster changes this early, this many. Injuries is one thing, but it also appears to look like grabbing at straws when things are not going to plan. Then again, things aren't going to plan. Plans for playoffs? No. Plans to get shell shock and be the bottom feeder again? No.

But plans sometimes need replanning.

These are, for the most part, bottom of the roster changes.  If they find a gem along the way, great.

Chris Smith is still on the Jags practice squad.

There was some speculation earlier on 1010XL that Gratz may be demoted.

As bad as the defense has been, I don't think anyone should be surprised with anything that happens in the next few days.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

Safety Sherrod Martin signed along with tight end Nic Jacobs and linebacker Jeremiah George.

Quote:Martin was a second-round pick in Carolina in 2009 and made 36 starts for them before tearing his ACL in December 2012. He didn’t play in the league at all last season and was with the Jaguars this summer. The need for Martin’s help arose when Chris Prosinski hurt his triceps. He was waived/injured on Tuesday and his departure leaves the Jags with only wide receiver Cecil Shorts and defensive tackle Tyson Alualu to show from the 2010 and 2011 drafts.

Jacobs was signed off of the Saints practice squad, where he landed after failing to make the team as an undrafted free agent. George was a Jets fifth-round pick this year and joins the Jaguars front heir practice squad.

The Jags also announced that they waived wide receiver Kerry Taylor and tight end Marcel Jensen and that defensive tackle DeAndre Coleman has left their practice squad for a job on Miami’s 53-man roster.

Anyone have any info on Nic Jacobs and Jeremiah George?

Makes sense I dont think Prosinski will ever make it in the NFL (doubt another team takes the chance on him)....

Marcel Jensen i wasnt impressed..

You have to rise up to the occasion when you get the opportunities to succeed... sadly neither of them did...

Kerry Taylor.... I can see another team taking a risk on him...

I hope Sherrod Martin can rise to the occasion...

Per rotoworld:
Quote:Jaguars waive/injure S Chris Prosinski

Chris Prosinski | JAC

(September 23, 2014 2:13 PM EDT)

Jagaurs waived/injured S Chris Prosinski (elbow).

The reserve safety/special teamer went down in Sunday's loss to the Colts. He'll revert to injured reserve if/when he clears waivers. A 2011 fourth-rounder, Prosinski is in the final year of his rookie contract.

Considering he's in his final contract year he probably wouldn't be re-signed anyway.
